Share a cuppa, share a conversation, share a little joy! We are seeking a warm and caring volunteer to spend time with an elderly lady who lives independently in her own home in Catherine Field. She would truly cherish regular visits from someone who enjoys gentle, meaningful conversation and can share relatable, mature discussions. She loves sitting down over a cup of tea or coffee, having a chat, and reminiscing about her past interests, especially her love of gardening and spending time outdoors. This role is ideal for someone who values genuine connection and would find joy in bringing companionship, comfort, and conversation to someone who would deeply appreciate it. Visits can be arranged at a time that suits both you and her. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and their local community. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of elderly people. HammondCare is an approved provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), funded by the Australian Government. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Ideally you'll be available 30minute visits per week/fortnight for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable day and time during the week between 9am and 5pm.
